When faced with life’s dilemmas; you can choose to rise to the occasion or crumble under pressure; the choice is yours. Often, life comes at us full force and holds no punches; it’s up to us how we handle said situation. Challenges are no stranger in my life, I, however, am very much not alone in facing obstacles. These are, indeed, a profoundly human thing to experience; if you are alive, you have dealt with problems. If you haven’t; my hat’s off to you! We can face these situations head on, with a positive and accepting attitude or be pessimistic and resistant. I find that the harder I struggle against what is, the more resentful I become and the more readily I fail. If I accept my troubles as they are; with an optimistic attitude and sense of humor, I remain at peace. It is when I fight against the inevitable, that I experience inner turmoil. Today, I accept things about myself that I fought for much of my life. Things that all but destroyed me and any shred of happiness found in my daily routine. Life is as one projects it to be; if you want to be negative, by all means harbor hate and ill-will towards all. If your goal is true happiness; be ever filled with a sense of gratitude and love without expectations.
There was a man at a gym I had occasion to go to; I was embarrassed that I had a walker: then I noticed. This man had metal rods for legs and was on the leg press machine! If anyone rose above and beyond confines, it was that man; suddenly I felt silly for thinking I had the most problems in the room. There are those people, too, whose problems are not visibly apparent; I could get on my soapbox concerning that subject, as many of my problems are not visible to the naked eye. Whether your problems are obvious or not, they are lessened with a positive and grateful attitude!
